Soybean Aphid
There is little to no risk for soybean aphid damage or migration in the next week. Soybean aphids are likely migrating from buckthorn into soybean with colonization taking place in some areas. As some advanced fields begin to enter into early reproductive stages of growth, scouting efforts should commence especially across the northern reaches of the soybean-growing region (primarily north of US 20 from northern Nebraska across northern Iowa and far northern Illinois and points north) in the coming weeks. Risks will eventually be introduced to the forecast as the crop continues to grow and especially if weather conditions are favorable for population increases.
