Moderate soybean aphid development risks remain in the forecast for the next week across portions of Minnesota, far eastern South Dakota, extreme northern Iowa, and into western Wisconsin with Low risks surrounding the Moderate risk area in southeast North Dakota, northwest Minnesota, eastern South Dakota, northeast Nebraska, northern and central Iowa, and the remainder of Wisconsin. Soybean aphid problems that may require treatment are expected to be isolated to potentially scattered in the worst areas, and growers are encouraged to scout their own fields and not rely on what the general observation is locally from other growers as populations are likely to vary from field to field.
