Soybean Aphid
Soybean aphid risks remain in the low category for the next week as continued prospects for at least some heat on a periodic basis remains in the forecast which should help keep local populations from growing at too quick of a rate. The overall risk area has been expanded since last week and includes fields in northeast Nebraska, eastern South Dakota, much of Minnesota, northern and portions of central Iowa, far northwest Illinois, and into Wisconsin. Growers with soybean crops in the early reproductive stages of growth should monitor aphid populations, where present, and see how the population dynamics are changing through regular scouting efforts.
