Little change to the soybean aphid forecast for the next week as Moderate risks remain in place across the eastern Dakotas, much of Minnesota, far northern Iowa, and into far western Wisconsin with Low risks across these same states but also further east into lower Michigan and also southern Ontario, Canada. Populations may see increases in some areas in the next week simply given more favorable weather conditions especially west of the Mississippi River. Growers with soybeans at or earlier than R6 growth stage are encouraged to continue regular scouting at the field level and make any treatment decisions based on what is occurring in specific fields and not necessarily on a regional basis as aphid populations will vary from field to field.
