Western Bean Cutworm
Western bean cutworm risks are on the decline as the annual flight subsides and also as crops move past critical growth stages where western bean cutworm damage could potentially occur. Lingering concerns remain for this week across northern lower Michigan and into southern Ontario and southwest Quebec, Canada as any concerns at this point should be more isolated in nature. Growers with crops still at susceptible stages of damage and also where any western bean cutworm moths or larvae are present should continue scouting, but the overall threat from this insect is decreasing for this growing season.
