Alert Details

The annual western bean cutworm moth flight is winding down across much of the United States and even into portions of southeast Canada at the present time. The greatest concern is across areas of southern Ontario into southwest Quebec, Canada where a Moderate risk remains in the forecast for the next week. The flight has subsided in most areas now but crop stage and continued moth egg laying risks may be greatest in this area. Low risks are still found across northeast Colorado, northwest Kansas, and into southwest and western Nebraska as well as the sandier areas of central Wisconsin and much of the Great Lakes region proper in lower Michigan, New York state, and then north into southeast Canada.
