Emergence of western bean cutworm will continue across Nebraska, Kansas, southwest Iowa, and northwest Missouri and also across the Great Lakes region and portions of Ontario, Canada the next five days. Additional emergence is likely to occur across portions of lower Michigan and Ontario, Canada and potentially into Iowa and Missouri where an expansion of the Low risk is most evident in the 3-5 day forecast. Growers in the risk areas should continue to monitor for new moth emergence in the coming week.
