Alert Details

Low western bean cutworm development risks are in place across portions of northern Kansas and southern Nebraska where heat units may approach initial emergence thresholds and also where the corn crop is the furthest along growth-wise. Moth capture numbers may start to increase in this region in the next week or so and, as a result, Low development risks have been issued for this area. Additional western bean cutworm moths may start to appear in portions of the Great Lakes region in the next week as well, but crops in this area are not as advanced in growth and moths will not pose a risk as of yet.
