Emergence and flight of western bean cutworms continues to increase across specific areas of the corn-growing region. Peak flight continues in northern Kansas and southern/southwestern Nebraska where a High risk is in place for the next five days. The High risk area spreads east into eastern Nebraska and northeast Kansas by early next week. Moderate risks are in place as far north as southeast South Dakota and east into Iowa and northwest Missouri as well by early next week as more moths are likely to emerge in fields in these areas. Additional Moderate risks are in place in Wisconsin, southern Michigan, northern Indiana, and northwest Ohio where moth captures continue to increase and also where crops are at susceptible stages to damage.
