Alert Details

Western bean cutworms may continue to cause scattered problems in the next week especially across portions of the eastern Great Lakes region and into southeastern Canada. High risks remain in place across southern Ontario, Canada through tomorrow but then Moderate risks are the highest risk thereafter and cover fields from northeastern lower Michigan into southern Ontario and southwest Quebec, Canada through next weekend. As the annual peak flight subsides, moth counts will continue to decrease but growers with crops at susceptible stages in the Moderate and High risk areas should still monitor their fields for signs of western bean cutworm moths and larvae and take appropriate action, if needed.
