Western bean cutworms are a continued threat especially across the Great Lakes region into Ontario, Canada as peak flights continue or have now occurred across much of this region. Some areas are seeing trap counts decline while others continue to see high numbers or increases so growers should remain vigilant for this pest especially in High risk areas. Out across the Plains and into the heart of the corn-growing region (Nebraska into Iowa and Illinois), counts continue to drop rapidly and many sites are now reporting few, if any, moths at the present time.
