Sporadic high western bean cutworm counts remain across portions of the Great Lakes region and into Ontario, Canada. The greatest concentration of higher counts remains from northern lower Michigan east into Ontario, Canada but additional traps and field reports continue to indicate activity in Wisconsin, portions of Ohio, New York, and Quebec, Canada. The primary focus region over the next five days will shift into Canada as field sites in the United States are now past peak flight levels and counts should be dropping rapidly where they haven’t already done so yet.
