Alert Details

Another low pressure and attendant cold front are expected to move through the corn-growing region over the next 36-48 hours. Southerly winds will be gusty ahead of concentrated areas of showers/thunderstorms and the cold front, and may pose yet another risk of scattered black cutworm moth migration later today into early tomorrow morning. Moderate risks are predicted from Missouri and eastern Iowa into southern Wisconsin, Illinois, Kentucky, Indiana, western Ohio, and southwestern lower Michigan with Low risks from the Missouri River as far east as southern Ontario, Canada and central Ohio. Once this front sweeps through later tomorrow, little to no migration risk is predicted until the middle of next week.
