Black Cutworm
A strong cold front will move through much of the corn-growing region over the next 24 hours. South to southwest winds east of the front, however, will continue especially in the eastern corn-growing region until the front passes and may provide an opportunity for isolated black cutworm moth migration until the front passes. Precipitation will likely become more widespread both in the mid-south source region and further north in the risk area, however, so that precludes a higher migration risk at this time. Once this front passes, northwest flow locks in across the corn-growing region for the balance of the week, and that will greatly limit any migration possibilities through the week and into at least a portion of next weekend, as well.
